The 1st Asia Conference of the Association for Experiential Education
This conference is a collaboration between AEE and Gung Ho and is expected to attract more than 300 educators, consultants, facilitators, practitioners and supporters. Special invited guest presenters include Karl Rohnke, Dr. Michael Gass, Dr Lee Gillis, Dr. Tom Smith, Dr. Jane Fernandes and Dr. Mario Bilodeau.
What will happen when west meets east in experiential education? AEE-The Association for Experiential Education (AEE) was formed in the early 1970s and now has nearly 1,400 members in 30 countries worldwide. AEE is a nonprofit, international, professional organization dedicated to developing and promoting experiential education. The association is committed to supporting professional development, theoretical advancement and the evaluation of experiential education around the world.
Our diverse membership consists of students, professionals, organizations and institutions with affiliations in education, recreation, outdoor adventure, development and training, mental health, youth services, physical education, disabilities programming, and environmental education.
Gungho-In 1997, Gung-ho, with guidance from Project Adventure introduced experiential education into China, since then, Gung-ho has been committed to furthering the development of experiential education in Chinese regions, particularly in Mainland and Taiwan. Over the past 13 years, Gung-ho has conducted more than 3000 experiential education workshops for corporations, schools, universities and public service projects.
